Simple Hacks to Remove Ink Stains from Clothes

Most of us have experience ink leakage and how badly it stains out pocket. After repeated washing also, it is not easy to get rid of the ink stain. No detergent or washing machine power will help you get rid of the ink stain. However, there are some easy and effective hacks you can try and not dump the shirt or any other stained apparel with your home clothes. After trying different methods on how to get ink out of clothes, finally few things did work like magic and removed the ink stain like it was never there.

The first ingredient to help you remove stain is rubbing alcohol which mostly works well with fresh stain. Wet a cloth piece with the rubbing alcohol and blot the fresh stain till saturation followed by washing it in hot water. This will remove the ink stain. For stubborn and old stains, it is better to soak the stained area in rubbing alcohol for 20 minutes and wash off.

A mixture of whole milk in two parts with one part of vinegar is equally effective in removing stubborn stains. Soak the stained area or garment in the mixture overnight and find the stain gone the next day. One of the best ways to remove fresh ink stains is blotting the area with kitchen salt using a damp towel. Gradually you can brush off the salt and repeat the process if stain is not removed.

Aerosol hair spray is very effective for removed ink stains. Allow the stained area to blot by spraying the hair spray and ensure the area is completely wet. Dry the area with clean paper towel and wash it with hot water. Cream of tartar is also used in removing ink stain when it is combined with lemon. Apply paste of lemon with cream of tartar and cover the inked stained area with it, let the paste dry and then wash the garment to remove the stain.
